This is a blogging platform hosted on a server controlled by members of Shinshu University's Faculty of Textile Science and Technology.
The platform is an instance of the open-source application WriteFreely.
Students can choose to make their blog posts “unlisted” or “public”. Unlisted blog posts can be seen by anyone who knows the URL. Public blog posts can be seen by anyone on the internet and will appear on Practical English IV's Reader page.
This platform uses ActivityPub to interact with the Fediverse. That means users of other federated social networks (such as Mastodon) can follow this platform's blogs. It also means users of this platform can “mention” users of other federated social networks.
